COVERED BRIDGE CELLARS SPECIALIZES in producing finely crafted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in a range of styles from world class California vineyards. Drawing on our extensive list of high caliber fruit sources, we seek to deliver distinguished wines of exceptional quality and consistency to our customers. For our inaugural 2007 vintage release we are offering a Pinot Noir from Hein Vineyard under our dedicated Anderson Valley label called Path Stone, and a Chardonnay from the esteemed Alder Springs Vineyard in Mendocino as a special bottling under our CBC label. The release of these two vineyard designate wines marks the official start of business for Covered Bridge Cellars. It also represents the first step toward realizing our long-term goal of building a prized collection of artisan wine brands. The inaugural vintage of our Alder Springs Vineyard Chardonnay is golden straw in color and delivers multi-layered notes of pear, sweet honey, melon, and green apple. These rich, concentrated flavors are framed by crisp acidity and mild oak influences that lead to a long, delicious finish. Exceptional upon release, this wine will continue to develop complexity and richness with an additional 5-7 years of cellaring.

This wine is signature Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. It is medium to dark ruby in color with intricate of layers of intense cherry, blackberry and cranberry aromas, underscored with subtle hints of earthiness. The well balanced acidity integrates seamlessly with the fine grained tannins that dissolve nicely into the silky smooth and delicious finish. Exceptional upon release, this wine will evolve nicely with an additional 5-7 years of aging.
